Thoughtful support
designed to grow with Your work

We help authors position their books, shape their stories, and build a publishing ecosystem.

Writing a book is already demanding work.

Figuring out how to publish it, and thoughtfully, often becomes overwhelming before the writing is even finished. There are countless paths to take, tools to use, platforms to choose, and opinions to sort through.

PlotPress helps authors navigate the decisions surrounding writing, publishing, and marketing so they can build an author ecosystem that supports their work long-term. Our strategy is about breaking the process down so the choices you make actually fit the book you’re writing and the author you are.

Our philosophy is simple: Authors deserve guidance that brings clarity, not confusion.

I’m Katelyn, founder of PlotPress.

I’ve spent the last 10 years in content marketing—writing, editing, running content teams, and building blogs that reach hundreds of thousands of readers.

Now I take everything I’ve learned there and apply that same strategic thinking to books. Not just the writing itself, but everything surrounding it: positioning, discoverability, publishing decisions, and book marketing.

My background also includes developing AI-supported content systems at scale, giving me a grounded understanding of how authors can thoughtfully integrate these tools into their process when it makes sense for them.

How We Use AI

PlotPress uses AI as a support tool, not a replacement for creative or strategic thinking.

AI can be helpful for research, organization, pattern recognition, and efficiency. We use it to reduce friction in parts of the process that don’t require human judgment, so more time and attention can stay focused on the work itself.

How AI shows up in your work is always guided by your comfort level. With a deep background in AI and content systems, we can advise on where these tools may support your process.

What AI does not replace at PlotPress is author voice, creative decision-making, or strategy.
